Wind Take Me

Wind take me over surfy foam,
The sea’s my blood, her depth my home,
A sailor’s heart sails on his ship,
The salt lies heavy on his lip.
My eyes see the stars above,
A Sailor’s life is the one I love.
For Dad  By Glynis Smy 2010
(Verse on the front of a card I made for my father. He will not understand it, nor be able to read it. It sums up his love of the sea as a Merchant seaman when I was a child).
